Selenium
What for? Higher levels of selenium are associated with lower rates of prostate, colon and lung cancers. Men with low serum levels of selenium may have a greater risk of cancer.
Where to find it: Depends -- selenium amounts in food are dependent on how much selenium is in the soil where the fruit or vegetable is grown. The more there is in the soil, the more there is the food. The exception is the Brazil nut which, in one ounce, is said to have nearly than 10 times the recommended levels.
How much: 55 micrograms per day
