Biologists in Finland have determined that, flying in the face of conventional wisdom, antelope females are more sexually aggressive than their male counterparts.

Jakob Brorgensen of the University of Jyvsky in Finland, thinks that such role reversals might not actually be so rare in nature because, in some particularly promiscuous species, females may find that frequent sex with many partners increases their chances of finding a "high quality" male with whom to conceive.

File Under: Animals we wouldn't mind being reincarnated as.

Question Raised: Are hunters subconsciously motivated to kill antelopes out of bloody jealousy?

Other Issues Raised: Would you rather be pursued by women (or female antelopes) than spend your Saturday nights buying Cosmos for uninterested strangers?
