Anabolic steroids are not the same as the steroids used for treating illnesses such as asthma and autoimmune diseases such as Lupus, Crohn's disease and rheumatoid arthritis. Those are corticosteroids.
Anabolic steroids, on the other hand, are synthetic forms of testosterone altered to amplify their potency. They're a kind of "super testosterone" -- a bionic hormone that was altered by scientists to work "better."

What on Earth batter is doing at the picture that refers to this article? The picture isn't relevant. I'm sure baseball players do not use anabolic steroids.

Anabolic Steriods: What Are They?
That has to be the stupidest question any human come up with.
Steroids have been used by athletes for the past 40 years. It's gotten to the point where you can't think of a sport that doesn't use them (o.k. Lawn Bowling is not admitting to anything).
If you have to ask What Are They then you probably don't use them and don't need to worry.
