The Associated Press recently asked the Presidential candidates about their favorite gadgets. Yet the reporter didn't really analyze what each gear choice says about someone who wants to sit in the Oval Office.
For example, Senator Hillary Clinton confesses a love for her iPod. This is an extremely safe, middle-of-the-road statement. (It's also believed that Mrs. Clinton finds puppies cute, although her staff would neither confirm nor deny this.)
In a truly nonpartisan fashion, we're going to evaluate what their gadget choices says about each candidate's ability to lead the country. (After the jump)
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani cites his "CD Player," which he uses to listen to opera, as a favorite. Obviously, he's working to court the youth vote.
Former Governor Mike Huckabee prefers his bass and amp, so he can rock out. The bass is clearly the instrument of a Vice Prez. Can you imagine a President John Paul Jones or Bill Wyman? No, but you can certainly see Jimmy Page or Keith Richards tuning the ax of the World's Only Superpower (overlooking the fact that they're both English). The bass signifies the crazy loner who couldn't master the two extra strings.
Senator John McCain hearts his Razr cell phone and his TV remote. Are we really looking for a world leader who won't get off the couch to change the channel?
Senator Barack Obama is a fan of the Blackberry. This demonstrates a man who wants to be in the constant presence of information. With his admitted youthful cocaine use, however, there is some worry that he is overly fond of the "Crackberry."
Former Governor Mitt Romney is another fan of the Blackberry. Research into his past confirms that he used to be against it, but now he's for it, totally, one hundred percent, and promises to pass a law as President that anyone without a Blackberry will be rounded up and sent to Guantanamo.

Cd player, TV and remote control, bass and amp, cell phone- outdated devices... To my mind the most advanced and modern user is Hilary Clinton with her iPod...
