A sociology researcher polled 813 college students and found that nearly half of young women believe watching porn is a perfectly good way to get your kicks.The not-so-surprising part: Although many of the female coeds were fine with porn, only 3.4 percent of them look at it on a weekly basis. (The study failed to ask how many had starring roles.)
The surprising part: The researcher was from Brigham Young University, a conservative Mormon college. Doesn't he get in trouble for studying porn?

in the title 'Chicks cool with porn' implies chicks in general. The in the opening sentence says "most" which we find out actually to be the minority (quite the opposite).
Also the study was about the chick watching porn, not if they are happy with guys (especially their boyfriends/girlfirends) watching it.
Which bring me to an interesting observation. Why is it that when we hear 'porn', we immediately imagine 'porn for heterosexual men'. Even Amanda assumes the chicks are heterosexual....

Funny, most of the college-aged women i know come crying to me about thier bf's porn.
As for me, i use to be cool with it, until i married a porn addict-now i want nothing to do with the crap, though i could care less who's having a good time with it as long as they're not hurting thier partner by looking.

Im only 13 but i know all about porn and all that shit. MY parents are smart, so when i asked, they told me what it was. Since i knew about it, i didnt get curious, and unlike half the school, im not out sexually experimenting and watching porn with freinds. I honestly couldent give a crap. Right, two people having sex. Because no one else does that, and thats why its shocking, hmm?

Sure they think it's okay now. Wait until their husbands start making porn more important than they are! And it will happen! Porn is an addiction...get real. A woman can only take so much of stupid pretzel positions in bed her man sees in porn movies, and his ogling over the porn chicks every night gets old. Women want to be loved for who they are and don't want to have to compete with fantasy chicks. And they shouldn't have to!! And God forbid a woman asks a man not to watch it anymore because she would exclusively like his affections (as it should be). That's about the time they get pissed off and start getting violent. I would love to see a follow up survey on these same women 20 years from now. What a sad commentary on what our culture has become.

I think the first issue is that porn, by and large, is too male-centered. It's made by men for men, and it is hard to find a lot of porn out there that women would like. You see a lot of blow jobs and not a enough muff-diving for example. Lesbian porn is also made for men. Generally this makes it pleasurable for men, and even kind of threatening for women. If it is something that both men and women can enjoy, that is their relationship. It is unfortunate that a lot of women feel snubbed by men who pay more attention to pornos, etc. The ironic part is that I think men would be far more jealous if their woman was drooling over a sexy guy on the silver-screen, or getting a lap dance from a male stripper. Men get super jealous. I encourage you women to test that out.
