Maybe you thought Gnarls Barkley was a novelty thang (or maybe that was just us projecting). The duo's hit single, "Crazy," was pop-funk at its best, but we figured within a few years it would be a memory only recalled occasionally on VH1. Well, if the duo's new single, "Run," is a sign of things to come, Gnarls may turn out to be more than a flash in the pan.
Imagine Aretha Franklin on crack (in a good way) and you'll get an inkling of the hopped-up soul of "Run."
Savor it while you still can -- this song is destined to be played on every radio station and in every store at the mall for the next eight months.
The track is from their new album, "The Odd Couple," set to be released in April.
Now hit that play button and get your backfield in motion.
