San Francisco may not be known for it's butt-kickin' pool halls -- until now, that is. A would-be thief recently attempted an armed robbery in 'Frisco's Billiard Palacade and found himself on the wrong end of a roomful of pool cues.

According to witnesses, 18-year-old Mario Woods tried to hold up a man at gunpoint in the pool hall's bathroom. But his intended victim fought back. The two wrestled, and other patrons came to help.

One took the gun away from Woods, and then, yelling "not in our pool room" dozens of players crowded around. When one of the players recognized Woods as the same person who had robbed him at the pool hall in January, all hell broke loose.

"'Someone said, 'Hey, he's the one who was here before,' and everything went crazy," pool hall owner Mirna Batres recalled. "They took a cue stick to his head, and someone popped him one."

Questions raised:
Would this scene be a better fit in "The Warriors" or "The Wanderers" or some other movie? And who should star in the scene?
