I'm not saying I haven't seen it done. And I'm not saying it doesn't work, but I'm not going to advise anybody to hit anybody with anything.
I don't like seeing that, and I've worked in bars, and you can see a lot of damage caused by a mug or a bottle.
It's not pretty.

The problem with striking someone in the throat is that you can kill them. If you break the small bones, their throat can swell completely shut and, unless there is a trained medical professional within a 5-minute response time, they will die.
Don't want to see anyone face a murder rap.
