Prehistoric artifacts, including mammoth tusks, a tyrannosaur tooth and an entire "unicorn dinosaur" skull, are to be sold at auction in Beverly Hills on March 21.The six-foot-long "unicorn" dinosaur fossil is from an Einiosaurus procurvicornis, an herbivore from the Upper Cretaceous period. It's a unique -- if impractical -- way to spruce up your home for the first day of spring, but it's also quite pricey, and is expected to fetch between $85,000 and $100,000 at auction.
Luckily the tyrannosaur tooth is more affordable, at around $1,000. An impressive 2.5 inches long, it's either from a young T-Rex or a similar but smaller species.
Among other lots at the auction are a knife made from a fallen meteor, primate skulls and a pair of fossil starfish.
While we're impressed by the selection, we at Asylum won't rest until we can buy a real-life dinosaur, like in the movies. Who needs a guard dog?
Beware of the T-Rex, b----es!
Money to burn? Buy all the dinosaurs you can before any of this stuff...
Dinosaurs are scary, but we'd rather wake up with T-Rex than one of these:
