Everyone loves naked protesters. (They're naked and angry. What's not to love?) That universal appeal explains why media gossip blog Gawker and the New York Times are trading "scoops" about the country's first vegan strip club, an L.A. band called the Vegan Vixens and the Suicide Girls' pro-PETA protests.

While we're fully behind this fascination with de-robed veganism, we have to point out that just as Stephen Colbert created Mike Huckabee, Asylum was the first to establish naked protesters as an Internet phenomenon.

Our gallery of unclothed idealists was
published a full month before this media storm.

So the least we could do, in establishing our claim as original sponsors of this movement, is republish the gallery with more images attached. Enjoy.

And as an added bonus, check out PETA's State of Undress video after the jump. (NSFW)
