Anyone watching Tuesday's edition of "The Colbert Report" learned two things. First, Michelle Obama, who was a guest on the show, is completely intimidating and terrifying. Second, The Roots are absolutely brilliant.
For the show's finale they ripped through an aggressive and powerful version of "The Star-Spangled Banner" that only Hendrix himself could rival. "Captain" Kirk Douglas, take it away...

The Roots rival Hendrix ? You are nuts ! Ok they can smash a guitar - I can do that - nobody plays like Jimi !
