Sometimes, even if you think you're a hot older woman, you shouldn't take it off for the camera.

Seven middle-aged Spanish women have learned this lesson the hard way. Perhaps inspired by the 2003 British film "Calendar Girls," the ladies now owe $16,000 to a printer after their semi-nude-pic calendar sold poorly for $8 a pop. The monthly images include one of the team wearing only Christmas tinsel, while another depicts a "shotgun-toting mother wearing only a fox pelt and kneeling on a table."

The calendars were somewhat popular when they were introduced in November, but, because of a printing debacle, the women missed out on the Christmas season. And come April, 2008 calendars are no longer a hot commodity. Judging from the pics we've seen, we suspect there are other reasons for the poor sales: This is like watching your grandmother drop trou.

There are now have 5,000 copies remaining, and the ladies aren't too sure what's to become of them.

"The sad part for us is figuring out what to do with them, because it is not something you can recycle," said one of the models, Rosa Garin.

Below is a gallery of the calendar shots we have available. After it's done, as a kind of palette cleanser, you will find our round-up of the 50 most memorable bedroom posters.
