Amateur Strippers Celebrate: Wii Developing a Pole-Dancing Game

Pole dancing has gained popularity over the past few years as an aerobic activity, and dancing classes take place all over the world. And soon you (or, um, your girlfriend) will be able work on pole-dancing techniques in the comfort of your living room.

U.K.-based pole maker Peekaboo and Nintendo are working on a game that will let users compete with pole-dancing moves.

"Peekaboo is pleased to confirm that it is in talks to develop a game for the Nintendo Wii that meets mainstream demand for the fun and fitness benefits of pole dancing," the company said in an e-mailed statement to ABC. "Peekaboo and its partners are focused on using Wii-friendly hardware to make aerobic pole dancing instantly accessible just as 'Guitar Hero' did for rock 'n' roll."

Question raised: Is it sleazy to invite a girl over to play "pole dancing," or is it just a really good pick-up line?

I am an exotic dancer. What an awesome idea for a game. I am very experienced on the pole - have helped train many other dancers on it. No it isn't easy at first and for some it will never be easy - so it's nice that they've developed a game where 'everyone' can compete. (Hmmm...does it come with pole? JK)
Pole dancing is an art and a fine way to stay in shape. I'm a medical student and though it does help with financing school for me personally, I love the workout I get from pole dancing. For me, it's like I get paid to work out - I don't dance nude or topless no matter that the place work I do work at does REQUIRE that from the other girls - you could assume I am really make all my $$ strictly from entertaining with what I can do on the pole and onstage. I really don't think there are many other extensive workouts than can compete with working on your fitness on a pole.
For those who have negative things to say - get a life and worry about your own is all I have to say. I've found most people who say such evil things are usually just reflecting how they feel about themselves. I pity them.

I see nothing wrong with women stripping. They want money and men want to give it to them. It's not like either side is being taken advantage of. Strippers have the goods and the men are paying to see the goods. I just feel that people who have a problem with strippers are not open minded enough to realize that it is 2008 and these women have a right to earn a living how ever they want. If this new game will teach women to be better pole dancers, or strippers , then kudos to Wii for coming up with an educational tool to help women better thierselves. It also may improve couples sex lives. I mean, after all, if my wife learns how to pole dance, I believe it will add a little excitement to the bedroom. For those of you who are against this game ,.......Don't buy it! ...And for those of you against strippers,.....Don't go to a strip club.

I was a stripper for almost a year, and I got alot out of it. I never once used any "excuse" as to why I wanted to dance...I could have went to McDonald's and had people yell at me all day, But I CHOSE not to do that. This is so cool to have a game like this. Because it is almost every fantasy of a man to look at his wife or gf and see if she can do that sort of stuff. And, if any woman here says that they don't do slutty things behind doors is either lying or a cold fish. Strippers who flipping cares why or for what reason they do what they do...
