Dinosaur dung, also known as Jurassic-era coprolite, is being put up for auction by Bonhams New York. The excrement is expected to fetch $350 to $450.*It looks like a rock on the outside and a colorful mineral inside, but the three-pound red and white fossil is actually a pile of dinosaur feces, says Tom Lindgren, the auction house's consulting director of natural history.
The fossilized number-two will be featured with other prehistoric items, including a 30,000-year-old woolly mammoth tusk, a 50,000-year-old skull and the jaws of a giant beaver.
It's uncertain what, exactly, the dinosaur ate to create the dung, but it doesn't take a paleontologist (or a proctologist) to tell that the creature probably should have had more fiber in its diet.
* The dung sold to an Ohio businessman for $960.
Think that's weird? Check these out...
Here's more useless crap...

Oh...well, crap! When I first read that historic dung could sell for $450, I thought Hillary Clinton had been put up for bid on E-Bay. I didn't realize at first -- on AOL's Welcome Screen -- that they were only merely speaking of prehistoric dinosaur poop.
