Yesterday, we learned about a pending law in Ecuador that would make good sex a "basic right" for women. Today, we learn that a working-class suburb in Chile is extending that right to old men, giving out free Viagra because "an active sexuality improves the overall quality of life."

(And as we type this, we're on the phone with a travel agent deciding which Latin American country to move to.)

There are about 1,500 lucky men in the area eligible for the drug handout, and they can get as many as four pills a month. (We're definitely seeing if we can up that number up to eight or ten.)

To get the pills, a doctor has to certify that the patient suffers from erectile dysfunction, and that he doesn't have heart trouble that would be affected by the drug.

While some government insurance plans in the United States and around the world provide free Viagra, this program is unique because it just hands out the pills with no membership in an insurance plan.

Question raised: Should other countries give out free Viagra? Why is Latin America so sexually advanced? Where should we move?
