How do you re-create the sound of a city as vast and diverse as New York, er, Liberty, City? How do you determine which songs make the cut?

With its millions of users and weeks worth of playing time, Grand Theft Auto IV's fictional radio stations will probably expose more people to new music than actual radio stations this year. The Rockstar-run website, Rockstar Games Social Club, even tracks players' favorite songs and directs them to Amazon.com.

If you want to capture the New York sound, here are our suggestions for the three artists that have to be included:

--The Ramones: This band is a must to channel a grittier New York.

-- The Wu-Tang Clan: If "Kill Bill" proved anything, it's that RZA's beats provide a great backdrop for violence.

-- George and Ira Gershwin: You can't have New York without Broadway musicals.
