Arguably the finest Canadian import since round bacon, Ontario's Jayde Nicole has been named Playboy's 2008 Playmate of the Year.

The comely 22-year-old is Canada's first Playmate of the Year since 1982, when Shannon Tweed posed for a spread that inspired 1,000 erotic thrillers.

But Jayde is more than just a pretty, well, everything. She owns her own modeling agency and managed its day-to-day operations before catching Playboy's eye and landing the title of Miss January 2007.

We officially add her to our list of reasons to annex the Great White North. Number one is still unlimited "SCTV" DVDs, and number two is the all-you-can-eat pancake buffets. (But Jayde is a very close number three.)
