When you have a museum containing 261 love muscles, from the elephant's early riser to the sperm whale's skin diver, you expect mankind's mojo to be on display. After all, we've overpopulated the planet like no other species and our hot popsicles -- which have played a big part in making that happen -- deserve a space in any flesh flute hall of fame.
Sigurdur Hjartarson says the Icelandic Phallological Museum is his labor of love, but obviously he doesn't love men enough. The hall displays preserved penises from 90 different species -- yet not one from a human.
Hjartarson says four men (a German, an American, an Icelander and a Briton) have volunteered to donate the organ after they die. But how long will we have to wait?
There's more about this pecker palace after the jump.
The American donor, 52-year-old Stan Underwood, supplied a written description of his penis -- which he purportedly nicknamed "Elmo" -- for display alongside a life-size plastic mold of the member.
The Icelandic donor, however, may be rethinking his pledge. A 93-year-old from a nearby town, he was "a womanizer in his youth who thought having his penis in the collection might bring him eternal fame." But Hjartarson says the man is concerned his penis is shrinking with age, and that an exhibit of it may not have the intended effect.
Hjartarson started his collection 34 years ago after coming across a bull's member that looked a like a riding crop. The number of visitors each year is growing -- 60,00 showed up last year to view his johnsons -- and 60 percent of those who came were women (although some may have been faking it).
Question Raised: Would you donate your dong to be displayed in a museum?

Im sorry but Im a female. The thought did come up about Bobbit's wife throwing that piece of meat to the side. To bad she did'nt have the opportunity to donate it. Hubby says he would donate his to the museum. My reply to him was that they probably all ready have enough holes in the wall.

I know the American is very serious about donating his penis, Elmo to the museum, and has already begun the process for surgery and plastination. Elmo and his balls should be the first human specimen, and are of museum quality. Should be on display quite soon.
