Female drivers have a three times greater risk of whiplash during an accident than men, because of the way they tend to sit.Swedish researchers have found that the majority of women sit higher, closer to the steering wheel and keep their seat backs more upright than men. This leads to higher rates of neck injuries resulting from being rear-ended.
The study also found that sitting in a slouched position actually reduces the possibility of a jolting to the old spine.
Great. Now everybody is going to be mimicking the guys who slouch back in their tinted Honda Civics trying to "pimp it" in the Taco Bell parking lot.
