Over the next few months, the American Psychiatric Association's new Sexual and Gender Identity Disorders group will look to define what constitutes abnormal sex. More specific questions the group will attempt to answer include: Are sadomasochism or pedophilia mental disorders? Is a low sex drive a psychiatric issue or a hormonal issue? And is it even possible to define "normal" sex?
The APA group's findings will undoubtedly stir controversy. Transgender activists have already begun protesting the appointment of some of the members before they've even convened.
We just hope the group consults with the gimp. Even if he's sleeping, we think they should go wake him up.
