One of the perks of living in a big city is getting the opportunity to pay exorbitant rent for a tiny apartment. A brilliant homeless woman found her way around at least half the problem. She was recently busted after living in a man's closet, unbeknownst to him, for a year. The 58-year-old Japanese woman, arrested for trespassing, evidently ate the man's food, but it's not clear whether she stole anything else during her time at the house.
The man became suspicious when he noticed food disappearing from his kitchen, and he set up a camera that beamed footage to his cell phone while he was at work during the day.
The cam caught an image of a person moving around in the house and the man alerted police, thinking he was being burglarized. Police eventually found the woman hiding on the top shelf of one of the house's closets. Police say she had moved a mattress into the closet and apparently took showers at the house -- they described her as "neat and clean."

This is pretty much the most insane thing I have ever heard. How inattentive do you have to be not to realize someone is living in your closet?
