(Our happy hour fact to amaze your drinking buddies with.)

Astronomers recently concocted a recipe for concrete using carbon, glue and moon dust. The group maintains that lunar lodgings can be constructed with the building material.

The scientists claim the recipe would make hockey-puck-shaped bricks that could be used to construct dwellings as well as telescopes and structures that hold solar panels.

One of the main impediments to building on the moon has always been the logistics of transporting the necessary materials. This development may help to significantly alleviate that concern.

Once construction is slated to begin, we're interested in seeing whether the workforce will be made up of American astronauts. If it's at all like Earth, we think they'll most likely opt to lower costs by using undocumented immigrant astronauts.
