When you've got it, flaunt it, right babe? And when you don't got it, pretend you do. This is the mantra of a homeless man in Philadelphia who, in a scam worthy of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels," used an online dating service called MillionaireMatch to dupe 13 women, and steal $100,000.Police say Paul Krueger, 50, met the women online and convinced them he was a Grammy-nominated record mogul who needed investors for a new business. They might have noted something was funny when the man claimed he'd made a fortune manufacturing DVDs, CDs and other videos in the age of downloading. He apparently even showed false stock reports to one victim.
Krueger evidently used the money to fund his gambling problem, and police finally caught up with him at a casino in Atlantic City. He's charged with theft.
Tell us: Have you ever pretended to be richer or more accomplished in order to lure women into your bed (or sell them stock in your fake company)?
