Essentially, catcalling is hostile, done by men who are intimidated by women and have nothing to lose -- so why not call attention to women as objects? These men are cowards, and they don't realize how ridiculous they look. If I get catcalled or eyed or called out, I feel threatened. Yes, I wear makeup when I go out, and yes, I wear nice clothes. But like someone else said -- it's to make MYSELF feel attractive. Even if I'm wearing a loose-fitting T-shirt and jeans, I will still get yelled at. Not only am I not interested, but it makes me uncomfortable.
