Seems like everyone is trying to break obscure world records these days. A couple of weeks ago, we told you about the San Franciscans who set the world record for the longest handshake, and now a tattoo artist in Dallas has set the record for most tattoos drawn in 24 hours. In celebration of the Friday the 13th date, all of Oliver Peck's subjects received the unlucky number "13" tattooed on various parts of their bodies. But an observer from the "Guinness Book of World Records" confirmed that he had set the new mark. The record had previously been held by Katherine Von Drachenberg (known as Kat Von D on the TLC reality series "LA Ink").
"It's an adrenaline rush," said Peck, who gave the "13" variously to firefighters, police officers, bartenders, a vehicle inspector, a nurse and a surgeon. When the marathon began, there was a line of customers snaking out the door, and evidently this continued apace until the next day.
Question raised: How different do the 13s from the first hour look from those drawn during the 23rd hour?
