It seems pretty clear that if you're sitting in judgment of bestiality pornographers, it's best not to have uploaded your own bestial porn onto the Web. But Judge Alex Kozinski, chief of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in California, seems to have done just that, posting sexually explicit photos and videos to his own Web site, including footage of "naked women standing on all fours and painted to look like cows, as well as a video of a half-naked man with a farm animal."

Kozinski, who's a conservative appointee of former President Ronald Reagan, is currently presiding over an obscenity case that involves a filmmaker charged with distributing sexual-fetish videos depicting bestiality, as well as other "criminally obscene" images.

The judge told the L.A. Times that the images and video were uploaded accidentally, and that he didn't think they were publicly accessible. He's resisted calls to recuse himself as a judge in the case, but the trial has been suspended pending an investigation into his own issues.
