Our recent post about an Israeli woman who angrily stripped in the street to quiet annoying catcallers garnered hundreds of responses and set off a fierce debate. Some of the responses were expectantly sexist: "Women are here to please men." Other commenters attempted to define harassment through behaviors such as hooting and hollering, making obscene gestures, and even simply commenting on a woman's appearance.

We as human beings want to look good and it makes you feel good if anyone says, "You look nice today" . Whistles and nice comments can turn an otherwise bad day into one you can tolerate, sexist or nasty comments are on the other hand not acceptable to anyone, male or female. Just an opinion.
