(Our happy hour fact to amaze your drinking buddies with.)

The 180-foot outline of man with an erect penis -- a fertility symbol in the United Kingdom that dates back to the 17th century -- will need to be re-chalked amid fears he is disappearing into the grassy field in which he is inscribed.

A wet start to the summer has allowed the well-endowed outline of Cerne Abbas Giant to fade into increased vegetation and moss. A shortage of sheep, which usually graze in the area, is also thought to be a contributing factor.

Officials still hope sheep can be brought in, but they say they may re-chalk the illustrated man earlier than expected.

The Rude Man (as he is also called) is a protected ancient monument in the U.K. that dates back as far as 1694. It is believed to have something to do with ancient spirituality and fertility, and usually gets a full re-chalking once every decade.

We're assuming Cerne Abbas is "excited" to hear that help is on the way.
