Tanning is one of those rare activities that when done in moderation is still bad for you. Recent research proves that even sunscreen doesn't protect you from harmful UV and UVB rays that can cause skin cancer. But like with cigarettes and unprotected sex with strangers, some human beings seem bent on destroying themselves. With that in mind, we put together a gallery that is both a cautionary glimpse of the damaging effects of the sun as well as an ode to the stupefying and painfully irrational Homo sapien behavior.
Enjoy, and for God's sake, don't let this be you.

I believe that sunburn was planned as a PR stunt. Nobody would keep their hand in he same exact position for long enough to get a burn like that/

He didn't fall asleep with his hand on his chest, idiot did that with a sticker or possibly sunscreen. There's no white mark where his arm should be which makes him a little more dumb for intentionally doing it.

At least this guy would put his hand over his heart to say a pledge or what ever. We have a presidential candidate that wont even do that. Poor excuse for someone thats seeking office!

Dude that's really stupid. He's not doing the Pledge of Allegiance!! And if you want to dump on one of the presidential candidates this is about bad tanning and sunburns in case you haven't noticed.

The first picture is not fake.
Obviously the guy put sunblock on his hand, then pasted it to his chest to get that affect.
The reason why he's burned where his palm would've been is because while applying the sunblock, he probably cupped his hand instead of flattening it out. Therefore, no sunblock got to the middle of the handprint.
Use your heads people

This is either a bogus picture, or a bogus caption. Look, people, the sun doesn't shine through the palm of one's hand. Either he carefully applied a handprint of sunblock and REMOVED his hand while he baked in the sun, or the picture is a fake. Or he has a hole in his hand?

For all of you who think this is real... you are retarded. Look at the picture. Did the guy have holes in his hand or something?? Because if this were real, then it would be the entire hand on his chest. And, did he cut off his arm and just set his "holy" hand on his chest? Because if the hand were connected to an arm, there would be a not-burned area where the arm was. Now it could be very possible that this guy decided to fall asleep in the sun with somekind of fake hand on his chest, and think that he could send it into this site and make people believe that he actually fell asleep with his hand on his chest... but idk. It's hard to tell.
