When Asylum sees injustice around the world, we simply can't ignore it. Such is the case with Peruvian model (of the "half-naked all over the Internet" variety) Lacey Zamudio, aka Leysi Suarez, who has become the victim of a criminal investigation for posing nude with her country's flag.

The snaps show the shapely model sporting a cowboy hat and nothing else, astride a horse with the Peruvian flag serving as a makeshift saddle. Though the pics were taken for the cover of DFarandula magazine to commemorate the 187th anniversary of the country's independence from Spain, Defense Minister Antero Flores filed a complaint against Zamudio for using "offending patriotic symbols." An investigation is ongoing and could lead to up to four years in prison for the model.

"I haven't committed a crime. I love Peru and show it with my body and soul," said Zamudio on RPP radio.

Perhaps she should come to the United States, where we appreciate patriotic women. Enjoy some shots of the sultry Suarez after the jump.
