WATCH: 10 Year-Old Goes To College
When Asylum sees injustice around the world, we simply can't ignore it. Such is the case with Peruvian model (of the "half-naked all over the Internet" variety) Lacey Zamudio, aka Leysi Suarez, who has become the victim of a criminal investigation for posing nude with her country's flag. The snaps show the shapely model sporting a cowboy hat and nothing else, astride a horse with the Peruvian flag serving as a makeshift saddle. Though the pics were taken for the cover of DFarandula magazine to commemorate the 187th anniversary of the country's independence from Spain, Defense Minister Antero Flores filed a complaint against Zamudio for using "offending patriotic symbols." An investigation is ongoing and could lead to up to four years in prison for the model.
"I haven't committed a crime. I love Peru and show it with my body and soul," said Zamudio on RPP radio.

No matter how people feel about a flag("piece of cloth" or "symbol of a nation")what she did could be described as TASTELESS at the very worst. A TASTELESS act is NOT a CRIMINAL act. Arresting her goes a bit too far. I never once said I wanted to run someone’s life and tell them how to raise their kids etc. Next I don't agree with anyone that disgraces the American Flag period. Being the Marine you say you were for 9 years or however many, what are the three codes of ethics that the Marines emphasize on? That would be Duty, Honor and Country! And since Duty, Honor and Country are mentioned I think it’s honorable to protect the flag at all costs. Would you allow another country to come here and take down the American flag and put up their own flag on all government buildings including the Capitol, Pentagon and White House? I don’t approve of what Marilyn Manson did with the American Flag either that’s why I don’t listen to his music and don’t support him by buying his awful CDs. Yeah America is a free country however to bluntly disgrace our nation’s flag should be considered treason.
Question why did people die for our nation’s flag and risk their life to storm the beaches of Iwo Jima to raise our nation’s flag then? I can tell you what not for! Not to have punk kids and whores use it as toilet paper and for people to burn it. Your family would turn over in their graves hearing how your values of service and their sacrifices were all for nothing and not appreciated by their own family member. Next it’s the Peruvian government that’s looking to prosecute her not the American government. I said I agree with them if it’s their law. Not my fault she decided to get breast implants rather then research her country’s laws and get an education. If she at least asked about it she might have known there is obviously some law regulating the use of their country’s flag as a bathrobe or to be posed with nude etc. Next I guess you have never been passionate about anything in your life; I guess not because even as a Marine you didn’t follow you code of ethics even. This is why I write as you state “war and peace” sized posts. I’m sorry that my passion for MY country extends beyond what most of you are capable to comprehend including you.

Yeah just do me a favor when you want to burn our nation's flag be sure to wrap yourself in it first and be sure to use a combination of gasoline, lighter fluid and propane gas. Yeah did you not get an economic stimulus check from your government you know the one that does nothing for you? I mean maybe you have had to call 911 in your life because something happened to you or someone you care about right? I guess the police never showed up when you needed to make a report also right? If you think the U.S. government doesn’t do anything for you then leave, I mean no one is holding you hostage here. If you need help leaving the country I’m sure Iraq is a good place to live if you would like to go over there and I’m sure they will welcome you. What happened to standing by your nation oh you could care less; because you want to complain and it’s about me, me and me. It’s about what does my country do for me I want more money, I want to pay less taxes, I want to be able to kill someone and get away it right? I want I want and I want is your language and you’re the crybaby that when something goes wrong or not your way, you expect the government to come behind you like mommy and clean everything up. You have no integrity and patriotism for the country you live in. I would be happy for you to wrap yourself in another nation’s flag and burn yourself with it as well; maybe you could start a new trend?

Go to your local VFW post and tell all the veterans who served in our nation’s wars and tell them your plans for America. Tell them that the government doesn’t do anything for you. I guess when you had too much to drink and are driving the cops single you out and pick on you right? I mean I feel really sorry for you. Have respect for the dead, especially those who died for our country while wearing a uniform from our nation. I guess the American flag is not important I mean after all it’s on all of our country’s uniforms, so it must not be that important. I guess there is no meaning why someone would put a uniform on with our nation’s flag on it right? I guess if everyone in the U.S. military felt this way then we would be overrun by terrorists and people who wish to do people even like you harm. I’m sorry maybe you’re an Anarchist right you know no rules no government you’re so cool. Well if you are then I say I’m right and your wrong and your punishment is to be either executed or be deported from the United States. Instead of being grateful for what someone has; its blame everyone else for what I don’t have especially the U.S. The American flag might not have the meaning anymore that you say it does because of people that are well you.
Let me know when your ready to leave the U.S. I will be sure to work extra hours to spring for your one way ticket to the Middle East and purchase their country’s flag so you can use their piece of fabric to burn yourself in, and since I’m such a nice guy I’ll even spring the extra $20.00 for the gasoline and other combustibles. I am not Peruvian, but I have been there and I love it. A nude woman is a beauty of nature. I don't think people who persecute her love peru as much as she does, and they seem offended to cover up what they lack, that's it. she lacks clothes but they lack sincerity.
