(Our happy hour fact to amaze your drinking buddies with.)

During a radio interview, Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell claimed aliens have contacted humans several times, but NASA is covering it up.

Mitchell, who in 1971 set the record for the longest moonwalk, told listeners these UFO visits are an open secret in certain military and intelligence circles, and that he had learned from NASA insiders real life ETs resemble the small-framed but large-headed aliens of popular science fiction.

The 77-year-old added that we are lucky the aliens so far haven't been hostile because our technology is "not nearly as sophisticated" as theirs.

Our in-house conspiracy theorist wants to believe Mitchell, but fears that publicly supporting him will lead to being punched in the face by Buzz Aldrin.
