After spending the tail end of high school cutting class, it's pretty clear you're not going to Yale or Amherst. Really, you just want to spend four years taking bong hits and watching "Harold and Kumar." But you're not going to find a school that fits with your enthusiasm for binge drinking, licentiousness, and overall torpor simply by looking at the U.S. News yearly college rankings.Fortunately, The Princeton Review has got your back, with its yearly list of the top party schools in the country. The test prep company has released the results of its pseudo-scientific survey of 120,000 students at schools around the country, which asked questions about the amount of drug and alcohol use on campus, as well as the schools' attempts to combat binge drinking. The result: The University of Florida in Gainesville seems to be the top place to go if you want to spend four years in college and remember none of it afterward.
But the truth is, pretty much every school you go to (at least in the U.S.) is going to offer evenings in cramped frat houses with kegs of beer, people making out in hallways and toilets full of unflushed vomit. Even MIT -- which is, of course, notorious for its nerdiness -- is known for having killer parties. So fret not -- no need to transfer just because your school isn't high up on the list.

Univ. of Miss is in Oxford, not Lafayette. Lafayette is the county. Check your facts. I know...you must be DRINKING!

I guess the Princeton Review staff were drinking when they compiled this list. The University of Mississippi (better known as Ole Miss) is located in the beautiful city of Oxford, Mississippi. Lafayette is the COUNTY name. Further, I think it is in bad taste to celebrate and give credence to universities which tolerate the abuses of alcohol.

I was saddened that my alma mater, Ohio University, came in a lowly #5. When I was at OU (late 60s-early 70s)we were numero uno. What has happened to our youth? Where's that Bobcat pride?

What I would like to know is "How many years has each of the schools been on the list?" Because, if I recall correctly, UNH in Durham has been on the list many, many times. I went to its sister school, Plymouth State, and we made the list a couple of times as well.

Good one! It's hard to believe even though I'm a UW-Milwaukee grad, that Madison isn't even listed, and believe me, I tried to turn UW-Milwaukee around in my day(the 80's).
