The WD-2 robot is a shape-shifting disembodied head that can accurately model the human face by using more than 17 points of movement. It can change facial expressions at almost the same speed and with the same flexibility as a human, and researchers say it could one day be used to make robots more realistic and lifelike.
Well, at least that's the theory. In practice, the WD-2 is a terrifying, jelly-faced box of wires and circuits that looks nothing like a human and will haunt us until the end of our days. Check it out below.
