We don't want to panic anyone, but a minion of Satan recently washed up on a beach in Montauk, N.Y. The deceased beast looks a bit like a dog with the sharp beak of an eagle, or possibly a shell-less turtle with the dark eyes of a griffin. Either way, it's definitely a portent of the coming apocalypse.
According to the tipster quoted by the Manhattan media types at Gawker, there is "a government animal testing facility very close by" that has led some -- namely us -- to speculate that the beast is an unholy result of dark occult experimentation. If this turns out to be the beginning of an assault on Earth by the dark forces, don't say we didn't warn you.
(Gawker may have later accepted that the unfortunate animal is more likely a dog, or else a viral advertising campaign of some kind, but honestly, we're holding out hope it really is a hybrid dinosaur water monster.)

It's not a turtle that thing has skin. A turtle's shell has it's back bone and ribs attached to it so if that were a turtle it would have muscle striations or bones protruding. But the beak/maw does have a turtle look about it. It's more than likely a hoax like that dog thing a few months ago.

i believe that this creature is ether a pitbull dog or a boxer dog that lost a dog fight because if a dog loses a fight then the punishment is death, such as drowning, stranglation, and many others, the markings of the "creature" has the markings of a american pitbull, so in other words there are illegal dog fights in new york and your looking at the remains of a dog that lost, its neck is the dog but the heat is photoshopped. Dont believe it, people are just trying to lower peoples hope and religion by showing a hoax like this. Only God knows the exact minute of the end of time.

so yeah that is definatly a turtle and no their shell is not their back bone. After I saw this photo on wednesday I went online and looked up turtle anatomy. It is possible for them to lose their shells though they tragiclly tend to die afterwards. As for the fingers if you look up the anatomy (particularly the skeletal system) you will see they have 5 distinct finger bones.

Turtles backbones and ribs are fused to the shells. (Same as Ankylosaurs used to have.) A shelless turtle would look a lot more gruesome than that.

Is there a story that goes along with this picture? I mean who found it, where did it go and when was it found? Are people sure it is a real animal and not some sick joke? I have read about many strange things that have washed up on shore. Some of them huge beast with hair some small with other odd features but I think this is the strangest thing I have ever seen. What is most complelling is the bluish purple blotches on the body which happens when a body starts to decompose. Does anyone know where this thing is now? Is there any testing being done? Or has the government covered this up too like they do every other thing that is unexplanable?

Some goofballs probably read the Montauk Project. It is a continuation of the Philadelphia Experiment. Supposedly, the guys from the Philadelphia experiment connected (through time travel?)with an experiment in 1984 at the Montauk Air Force Base. In the process, a hole was said to be ripped in the fabric of space and time, letting in creatures from other dimensions. Far fetched story, but it is one hell of a story. I suggest you read it.

Obviously it could be...photoshop. What I am trying to find out being a person who believes in the unexplained and cryptozoology is where did this picture originate from. People who think it is funny to fake these things just make it all the more difficult for the people who really do know something of have real proof. I know that there are many creatures that are unexplainable and unimaginable. Some may be natural and just not discovered yet. Some may be part of government experiments. But there are some that I believe are only partially part of our world. I believe there are window areas and sometimes these animals or beings slip through. There are many books on the subject by reputable authors such as John Keel The Complete Guide To Mysterious Beings or Ivan Sanderson has wrote many books on unexplainable phonemena. Reccently there has been a book written about the Gorman Ranch and the window area they had on thier property. If you Google it you can read about it.

Hah! A chance to work up the masses! Seriously though, I have to add that this post is correct. There are cross-overs that remain unexplained by our logic or science. I love it when that happens! Did I ever tell you about the time the two foot long, luminescent, night flying dragon fly creature crossed over and kept my boyfriend and I trapped inside our car for a good long while as it circled the porch light? The BF finally got tired of waiting and ran into the house leaving me stuck outside wondering what to do. Needless to say that one didn't last. And another time.... oh the stories we have.
