Stop the presses! A grown woman has decided to briefly flash one boob in a glorious advertising ploy!In a move that has captured the attention of the national media, Eva Mendes has made a commercial for Calvin Klein Secret Obsession perfume in which she shows her nipple for approximately half a second. But is that really such a scandalous ad? We disagree and dare anyone who would argue to check out our gallery of the Raciest Banned Advertisements.
Need to see the nip with your own eyes? Check out the not safe for work version of the commercial on Calvin Klein's Secret Obsession Web page and catch up on the Raciest Banned Ads of All-Time in the gallery below.
Ads Banned for Being Too Racy
Britain's Advertising Standards Authority banned this bathroom-friendly ad for being offensive. Designer Tanner Krolle claimed the couple couldn't be having sex because the man's trousers were still on. (That would be news to anyone who lost their virginity at the prom.)

Skechers pulled this ad after a nurses's group complained it advanced a negative stereotype of their profession. Yet similar ads with Christina Aguilera appearing as teacher and student and cop and criminal continued to run. (Why Skechers overlooked the always titillating Hot Lunch Lady we'll never know.)

By digitally modifying a model for the purpose of exploiting her sexuality, this Bicardi ad violated the Canadian Code of Advertising. (Maybe the Canucks were really offended because the ad implied there's something better than beer.)

This cheeky ad campaign for the Washlet, a heated toilet seat, ran in various mainstream magazines but was banned from Times Square when a judge agreed the advertisement interfered with the religious mission of the Times Square Church below. (Apparently, only God and King Kong are allowed to smile down on New York City.)

Once New York's Metro Transit Authority realized "get brain" was slang for oral sex, this poster was banned from all city vehicles. (We can relate to the confusion. The model appears to be offering up something entirely different.)
CNN
McDonald publicly apologized for this ad, claiming it had not been aware that the phrase "I'd hit it" is often used to express sexual interest. (We're going to give fast food chain the benefit of the doubt here since the "it" in question is a double cheeseburger. Now if it had been their baked apple pie ...)

This poster for the movie "Rules of Attraction" was banned in America for using stuffed animals to, well, turn on a nation of plushie fetishists.

Concerns as to just where the model's thumb was headed resulted in this print ad getting the thumbs down from British censors. (And the thumbs up from 13-year-olds boys everywhere.)

Mattel demanded The Body Shop remove this self-esteem poster featuring a rubenesque anti-Barbie because it was insulting to the real Barbie. The ad was actually pulled from some stores in the United States after some people found this doll offensive for different reasons. (It's interesting to note that no matter how much she gorges herself Barbie can't seem to grow nipples.)

Calvin Klein has been playing with teenage sexuality ever since a 15-year old Brooke Shields declared there was nothing between herself and her Calvins. But this mid-90's campaign for CK hit too close to home -- the basement rec room in fact -- and was pulled.

Our economy is shot to hell, and our president has made us a laughing stock globally. The puritan "American" attitude against nudity is an even further embarrassment to the list of WTF's. It was a breast. ALL women have them be they different sizes. Anyone offended by a boob flash probably has some sort of issue to work out with a therapist. And as for kids....God forbid a kid see a boob on TV. The more we act like there is something dirty and nasty about the human body, the more kids will want to explore them prematurely to unveil the mystery shroud, thus creating all the issues we have today with teen sex and unwanted pregnancies. WAKE UP AMERICA! This sort of ideology does more damage than good to what is supposed to be a civilized and modern society.

inyouface you are either an illegal alien, terrorist or just full of it. Learn to love the country that takes care of your freedom of speach. If you think this country is the laughing stock of the world quit playing your video games and go defend our country. You must be a dweeb.

very wise but the aggressive nature of your suggestions make the sheep defensive. people don't wake up from reading comments, they just react to them and immediately spew out brain washed language with no regard...some people will just never get it man, the key is to expose your knowledge to people who are open minded enough to consider all possibilities of situations, and not just immediately think they are "right" because "america kicks ass".

i agree wit inyoface...its just natural and also that add is the uncerosed version...the one shown on television is censored...and if you dont want your kids watching this then throw out your t.v. and unplug your computer and blindfold your kids because you see them everywhere...its only for a half sec...if you dont want them to see and half sec boob flash...wat about cleavage and butts...block them from that too...either way if ur kids a boy...soon he will learn about that stuff..or maybe he knows about it already

Your 7 year old has no concept of the sexuality behind a 1/2 second nipple flash. I didn't understand it at 7, and I'll bet neither did you.
The female nipple is an attractive, productive part of the anatomy; we didn't start covering it up until the clergy and/or magistrates told us to believe it was a dirty, vulgar part.
It's not like any of these models are showing their true genitals. And for that matter, why don't we go after the cleavage and butts and any reference to their attractiveness?
If you don't want your 7-year-old to see such things, then turn off the television, because IT'S YOUR TELEVISION. Buck up and start acting like a parent and take control.

There's nothing wrong with this add. America needs to lighten up. it's an add for god sake. Mendes does a great job in the add. My wife even told me that if it makes her feel that good she wants a bottle of Calvin Klein Secret Obsession perfume now.

Ok...why are we making such a big deal out of nothing? We all have nipples, live with it! You could only see it for about a second if you stare at it

If I remember my anatomy class correctly, the other half of the population also have breasts. If fact some of the male's on heart meds should probably wear bras as theirs are very large.

lol...we all have breasts. Not just half the populous. But I agree, as americans we are far to puritanical

We ALL have breasts, darkbluex, male or female. Females develop mammary glands obviously. Both genders have breasts and nipples since nipples develop in vitro BEFORE the fetus' gender is determined. Men CAN develop issues like breast cancer, albeit it is relatively rare in proportion to women since women have more tissue to become cancerous.
All that aside, you'd need to pause and study the Mendes clip like the Zapruder film to find anything adult rated. If THAT'S the case, there ought to be a website for you: GetALife Dot Com.
