When we asked you which presidential candidate could better handle an alien invasion, over 46,000 of you had an opinion. The race was close, but in the end, 58 percent of you wanted former POW McCain, not Barack Obama, in charge when the little green men show up. A few of our favorite comments from Digg.com below.
From "weferrell": If the film Independence Day taught us anything, it's that the ability to make a Bill Pullman-like speech is the most important thing to look for in a presidential candidate and Obama certainly has McCain on that one. McCain was a pilot and could lead the troops into battle, but it was the old crazy guy that was inspired by Bill Pullman's speech that sacrificed himself to save the human race.
From "mf0thrilla": That all depends on the alien. If it's an army of Predators, then definitely McCain. If it's an army of E.T.'s, then Obama could bring peace offerings with Reese's Pieces.
From "DrDragun": I think Huckabee/Chuck Norris is the ticket to pick for this particular issue.
And today's Noble Prize goes to "digifuzz," for this comment: If Hollywood has taught us anything, it's that a black president can handle any disturbance in the earth's core, an alien attack, meteors and Kiefer Sutherland.
