The quest continues for Playboy's 55th anniversary Playmate, and she could come from anywhere -- mailed-in Polaroids, open casting calls or even the Internet.
In April, the girlie mag invited potential Playmates to post videos of themselves on Playboy's YouTube channel displaying their best assets (well, maybe their second best -- no nudity allowed). Six of the indie filmmakers were then selected by Playboy to participate in a shoot at the Playboy Mansion (NSFW).
Since we spend most of our time on YouTube watching videos of monkeys, we are excited to learn that it is also a vehicle for launching the nude modeling careers of attractive young women. Just as the one and only "Hef" has lost a lot since his wonder years, so has the quality of a lot of the beauties that surround him, and the Playboy image. Which look do you prefer; the 42nd st hooker, or the dancer on the pole at the "Blazin Babes Club." True, every now and then a beauty does come along that puts one in mind of yesteryear, but painfully few. If you can recall "the old days" silicone boobs, and mega make-up that we see today don't cut it.
