The word is in on McCain's vice-presidential pick and not only is she a woman, she's a good-looking woman. In a transparent move to scoop up some of Hil's disenchanted supporters, McCain has named Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate. The former Miss Alaska runner-up is known for backing tough ethical standards for politicians, and at 44, being something of a MILF. In the world of politics, however, she's a spring chicken and the youngest person (and woman) to ever govern Alaska. Just don't let her fetching looks fool you, as she's apparently handy with the steel, having been a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
While we will be making our decisions on Election Day based purely on political ideology, we have to admit we'll be harboring a little crush on the brainy-looking and gun-wielding Palin, whose lovely visage can be seen in the gallery below.

I've just one question: does she know now what the VP job is all about? I still won't vote for McCain because:
1) He doesn't support equal pay for equal work for women.
2) He has the same belief and hypocrite stance on anti-choice: they love babies before they're born. After birth, they're on their own
3) He has bowed to the right wing big time.

Marie,
Sarah Paylin is everything this country needs in a woman for Vice President. She knows the duties of a V. P. . She is smart, a good wife and mother and can be a good V. P. and a good mother at the same time. It may be many years before this country will have the chance to vote for a woman V.P. who has all that is needed to run this country. She will be a great help to John McCain.

Marie, please support your statement that McCain does not support equal pay for women. What did he do or say? If you do not have any concrete documented evidence then you are irresponsible about what you state in you blog.

Babies aren't on their own after birth. They have their parents to afford them a home, food, education and support. Who did you think was supposed to keep them?

Sarah is exactly what McCain and this country needs. She is indeed competent and experienced. When asked if she was tough enough, she reportedly replied: "Know the difference between a hockey mom [like her] and a pit bull? Lipstick". When she debates Biden she will hand him his testicles in sandwich bag. Neither she nor McCain are perfect. So freakin' what? They're our best for the critical job of leading this country. Far and above Obama and "running mouth".

Alice, you need to spend less time spouting your lies and more time in school. What grade is it where you learn how to construct a sentence? Or even just use a capital letter and a period? Second? Did you miss that grade?

You have got to be the most ignorant person. Who are you to speak of another human being like that. Her family is off limits and what kind of person are you to speak that way of her new born child. That is the problem in this country. Here is a women who has made a difference in the State that she is governor in. It is not talk nor hear say , it is fact! My thoughts on this is that you as many are so overwhelmed with jealousy on the great and wonderful candidate Sarah Palin is. Face it McCain/Palin will do wonderful thing for this country. Try seeing that. I am sure you yourself shouldn't being throwing stones. What American family is perfect, check yourself first...

I will not vote for McCain and Palin because I do not trust them. The Republicans do not have any integrity. This is an example of their dishonesty. It doesn't matter at what cost or who pays the price(the children, they are out to just win for selfish reasons. This kind of manipulation has been shown for the last eight years and it is time that it stops. I believe if we stand behind Obama, he is able to bring change.

This country has been run for the last eight years by a neo-conservitive. Bush is a simple minded fool who has been taken over by neo-cons who are liberals pretending to be conservitives. He is not a true conservative in the least, but much closer to being a classic Democratic liberal, i.e., pretty much like BO except not quite as liberal (socialist/Marxist). Neither Bush nor McCain or Palin supports the continued murder of innocent, unborn babies as does BO. They do not support same sex, homosexual marriages as does BO. They are natural born Americans, although BO is not likely to be one and thus not qualified to be president under our Constitution. I am not really a Bush or McCain fan, but I think Sarah is a highly competent political leader who will make a great vice president (who can ride herd on McCain for the national good) and make an even greater president when she defeats Hillary in 2012.
