The word is in on McCain's vice-presidential pick and not only is she a woman, she's a good-looking woman. In a transparent move to scoop up some of Hil's disenchanted supporters, McCain has named Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate.

The former Miss Alaska runner-up is known for backing tough ethical standards for politicians, and at 44, being something of a MILF. In the world of politics, however, she's a spring chicken and the youngest person (and woman) to ever govern Alaska. Just don't let her fetching looks fool you, as she's apparently handy with the steel, having been a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

While we will be making our decisions on Election Day based purely on political ideology, we have to admit we'll be harboring a little crush on the brainy-looking and gun-wielding Palin, whose lovely visage can be seen in the gallery below.
