We'd be tempted to say something about beauty being skin-deep, but a Maryland beauty queen's recent trip to the wrong side of the law really has more to do with her refusal to be ignored (insert "Fatal Attraction" reference here).

Police in Frostburg, Md., arrested Christie Ganoe, the current Miss Washington County, last week after she allegedly broke into her ex-boyfriend's home and punched a woman there. She has been charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree burglary.

Police were summoned to remove Ganoe's from her ex-boyfriend's home when an argument broke out. The persistent 22-year-old returned later, entered illegally and cold-cocked her ex's female guest.

Ganoe was crowned Miss Washington County in February for a one-year term, having run on an "anti-bullying" platform. Pageant officials in Maryland have put Ganoe on "extended leave of absence" following the arrest.
