There's hitting the head, and then there's hitting the head in style. Regardless of whether it's a number one or a number two, you can definitely do the latter at the Hermitage Hotel in Nashville. In the seventh annual Internet poll conducted by restroom hygiene provider Cintas, the Hermitage's Art Deco-styled men's room garnered the title of "America's Best Restroom." Cintas reports that tens of thousands of votes were cast, and the winner edged out stiff competition from other posh johns including those at the 21C Museum in Louisville, the Signature Room in Chicago and Jerome Bettis' Grille 36 in Pittsburgh.
"The Hermitage Hotel has an uncompromising commitment to excellence," said Hermitage Hotel President Greg Sligh. "This philosophy defines everything in the hotel – including our distinctive Art Deco men's room, which has long been known as Nashville's most unique and elegant restroom."
Though the announcement of this year's award was made via press release, we're petitioning Cintas to have a ceremony for next year's recipient with Sen. Larry Craig as the emcee.
