We're on the fence about whether it's right to discipline children with corporal punishment. Then again, there are times when kids do stuff that deserves one hell of a beating. That's why we're thinking a five-year-old Serbian boy is likely to get a major thrashing after blowing the equivalent of $105,000 in cash that he found in his father's safe. Djodja Markovic evidently used the money to take a group of friends shopping, buying them clothes, toys, bicycles, candy, computers and games.
His father, Slobodan Markovic (not to be confused with the mass-murdering dictator), said he only realized what had happened when his son and his friends came home carrying dozens of shopping bags.
"I must have forgotten to lock the safe and he just saw the money and took it," said the elder Markovic. "I have asked the police to investigate because it is unbelievable that the shop owners let such a young boy do this." Police are currently looking into the matter.
Maybe Djodja bought a lot of useless sports merch:

Wondering how in the world did that kid carry all that money cause 105,000 is alot of money to carry and if he did put it in a bag when he went to the store why did one of the retailors report that there is a kid out on th loose with that much money in a bag if you ask me the father should be punished for letting his son outta sight for that long cause it dont take a couple minute to walk to a store and spend 105,000.... So this story makes no sense

AND HIS DAD MUST BE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT BECAUSE WHO HAS THAT MUCH CASH ON HAND HE MUST NOT BE PAYING ALL HIS TAXES THERES NO WAY THE IRS KNOWS ABOUT THAT MONEY

A "5" year old allowed to go shopping on his own?? Most five year olds aren't even allowed to ride their bikes around the block. What is wrong with this picture and didn't it seem odd that a "LITTLE BOY" had that much money. The store clerks must have noticed something odd.

Something smells fishy about this whole story. I have a five year old grandson, and yes, if we let him I am sure he could figure out a lot of ways to spend money...but not 105,000 dollars worth... And where that child lives, too, makes me wonder if this story is true. I am sure they have a lot of goodies, but someone in that town must have realized that something was wrong, very wrong, if it is even true. A child that young can't travel that far from home before getting lost... a few of those shop owners must have known who his parents were...and if they did, one would think they would have notified them. I would have.

WHERE WERE THE PARENTS WHEN THE CHILD WAS SPENDING THIS MONEY. AT 5 YEARS OLD PARENTS SHOULD KNOW WHERE THEIR CHILDREN ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I KNEW WERE AND WHAT MY CHILD WAS DOING AT 5 AND EVEN MANY YEARS OLDER. THIS IS BAD PARENTING. THE AUTHOR (TOM RADLER), SHOULD BE FIRED FOR INDICATING A THRASHING SHOULD TAKE PLACE. THRASHING IS BEATING. VIOLENCE OF ANY KIND SHOULD NOT BE SUPPORTED. THIS IS WRONG.!

A 5 year old in a mall without parents, shame on the parents (IF THIS IS TRUE), which I seriously doubt and obviously from prior comments I don't stand alone.

If each item cost $500.00, that comes to 210 items..Who carried these items,,and where are they?..This is TRULY a BS story..How many pockets did this 5 year old have to carry the money?...This is am impossible story to believe..I am a grown man and I couldn't spend that much money, even if I knew what I wanted..And how long would the child be missing to have the time to spend that much money?..Sounds like a case for Child Welfare Services..It is 10AM,,do you know where your children are?

You all need to get your head out of your a**es -- this didn't happen in America, it happened in their country where things are different. European children are a little more wordly and sophisticated then American children not a slam to our country, it's just a fact - they grow up faster and comprehend much much more ( a 5 year old there compared to a 5 year old here) I'm sure it wasn't hard for him to figure out how to get to the stores.

I DON'T BELIEVE IT!
A 5 YEAR OLD KID DOESN'T KNOW THE VALUE OF A
DOLLAR....THEY ARE STILL TOO DUMB AT THAT AGE!
AND IF IT IS TRUE...THEN THE FATHER SHOULD TEACH
HIS KID A GOOD LESSON...!
