Hip-hop and video games were made for each other. They both are accused of inspiring violence, they are both attacked for being misogynistic, and they are both revered by young, white suburban teenagers.

So it should come as no surprise that raps and samples from video games go together like Dungeons and Dragons and your parent's basement. Video Game Examiner has compiled a list of the 10 best songs of this genre and if you're a fan of either hip-hop or video games, we highly recommend you check it out.

Some of our other favorite subgenres of rap:

-- Rap with animal sounds. Big Boi did this well on "The Rooster." Guess what he sampled?

-- Rap with effeminate white guys singing in falsetto. And by white guys singing in falsetto what we really mean is Adam Levine.

-- Rap that samples crappy pop songs. This includes pretty much any song by P. Diddy.
