Whether it was an exploitative sideshow pairing or a genuine match made in heaven, we're not completely sure.

What we do know is that yesterday, the world's shortest man, He Pingping of China, met up with Svetlana Pankratova, the world's leggiest woman. Twenty-year-old Pingping was born with dwarfism and stands at 2 feet 5.37 inches tall, while Pankratova, 38, has legs that are more than 4 feet long. The meeting was put together to publicize the 2009 edition of the "Guinness Book of World Records."

Pingping said Pankratova's legs were "very beautiful." But interestingly, Pankratova's legs are the only part of her body that is abnormally proportioned. At 6' 4'', she's not even close to being the world's tallest woman. The 7-foot-7-inch Sandy Allen, of Shelbyville, Ind., held that distinction up until her recent death.
