Times are changing, and the struggle between ever-evolving gender roles is playing itself out on the same stage it always does: in your pants. In the golden age of body hair, men came in only two models -- gay or Burt Reynolds -- but these days, the popularity of manscaping offers a whole range of acceptable hairstyles below the belt. But should you mess with God's perfect pubic creation? What do women really want to see going on in your drawers? For guidance in these confusing times, we asked a group of real girls for the real scoop on manscaping.
Sara, 37, musician: "It's nice to see men attempting to pay even a fraction of the attention we women pay to sexual grooming. Trimming is nice. Clearing the area so that my efforts can be appreciated both physically and visually. It makes it more pleasurable for both of us. Remember, they don't call it a job for nothing-why not have a tidy workspace?"
Emily, 27, graduate student: "I don't expect any manscaping, and I actually find it pretty weird -- but then again, I'm more into the natural thing myself. A trim now and then can be considerate."
Keri, 25, nutritionist: "I try to keep my laws off other people's bodies, but I will say that a totally shaved johnson bears an unsettling resemblance to a rubber chicken. I suppose I prefer a natural look, but if you refrain from telling me what to do with my bikini line, I won't tell you what to do with yours."
More straight talk after the jump.
Janie, 29, receptionist: "I like it trimmed but with a little fuzz. I also really like that happy trail from the tummy to the yum-yum place as well. More grooming is better than less. Its just easier to get to the hot bits that way."
Ashley, 32, editor: "Bald would be bad. Too hairy isn't really an issue, because I don't use my eyes down there, but it shouldn't be smelly. One guy had a downstairs crew cut and a really neat apartment, so it made me think he was too weirdly meticulous for me. "
Lauren, 27, coordinator: "I would have a hard time believing that a shaved or groomed guy was straight, in all honesty. In addition, that shaved stuff gets all scrape-y pretty fast! Pubes are soft and natural. I guess they gross some people out, but if you want to make out with a barbie doll, then go find one."

Sorry ladies, to disappoint before we even meet, but I trim. I refuse to shave, but I trim. And... yeah, that's right: I hate body hair. All that down there stays very well kept. And I don't see what's so weird about it. Maybe some of us just want it to be a little more presentable....

As a man I shave because it seems kind of gross to have more hair in someparts of your body. For me everythin should be equal

I shaved once. It looked kinda creepy. So now I just trim, it's pretty nice. Guys, try it just once. You won't stop it.

I shave right before the main event, an hour or two at most. The smoothness of the area around the "Rubber Chicken" tends would feel better than any sort of ball of dry grass pounding into your backside.
P.S. It only looks like a rubber chicken if they aren't hard. And if you're naked and they aren't hard, you need to try better.

I had an old GF tell me that if I wanted some attention paid to my boys, that I ought to clean 'em up. This got my attention. I don't like getting hairs stuck in my teeth, either, so it made sense. Of course, over-grooming until you look like the last kid in the lockerroom to hit puberty is weird. Shave the parts you hope to have licked. Keep the rest of you male sexual characteristics.

I personally like it when my boyfriend shaves his stuff. It's much cleaner, no smell, and no hair in my mouth. And of course he likes me to keep mine clean too

I personally like to do everything from saving to trimming and sometimes go all nature. I've been married for 25 years so I like to mix it up to keep the wife excited.

I didn't shave my pube hairs until one day in high school a girl saw me and said my pubes were longer then my friend. After a little trimming, i have found that my pube hairs were over 5 inches, 5 inches! What do you do in that situation when a stupid girl is like lolol leave it natural or die gay fag.

if you are not use to shaving it can be a bad thing. itchy or in-grown hairs...
a little trim can not only help out with getting more attention but it also helps making him look larger!

just a lil off the top (trim)and shaven everywhere else. Usually every 3 days or once a week atleast. Have even received compliments. And to all the guys out there scared of shaving... try the womens mach razor and shaving cream. Works better. I know I know sounds gay I have friends that tell me that all the time and trust me their opinion as well as any other MALES opinion doesn't matter, cause afterall I don't it to impress you. Like I said received compliments a plenty (from females) on my neither region area. ;)

Say no to bush!!! Women if you want the attention in the nether regions; please Shave. I personally trim it close to the skin, I feel that it adds more skin on skin sensation and that is always a good thing.
