Although it looks like a military tool designed to spy on terrorists in remote mountain caves, the Draganflyer (yes, really spelled this way) is actually a slick high-tech mini helicopter available to consumers. It's got a mount near the base to accommodate various camera sizes and has six rotors to maintain stability, plus built-in GPS and software to alter its trajectory to respond to wind conditions.
Though a $15,000 copter might seem like just a way to let wealthy peeping toms catch a glimpse of the girl next door doing some poolside sunbathing, it also has more wholesome applications, including research and law enforcement purposes. The Draganflyer even boasts of a grants manager, so if you're creative, you can figure out a way to get U.S. Homeland Security to buy one for you. [via Ubergizmo]
