A Kentucky man may have only wanted a little off the top (er, tip), but he ended up losing it all.Phillip Seaton, 61, is suing Dr. John Patterson after he went in for what was to be a routine circumcision, and came out a eunuch. He and his wife are seeking unspecified compensation from Patterson for "loss of service, love and affection."
It seems that while Dr. Patterson was carving up Seaton's junk, he thought he detected cancer on the man's member and removed the penis in order to be safe. Seaton's attorney, Kevin George, admits that subsequent tests showed that there was indeed cancer in his johnson. "It was not an emergency," George said. "It didn't have to happen that way." The suit claims that the doctor didn't consult the Seatons before he sliced, making it impossible for them to seek a second opinion.
In 1997, a similar suit was won by another unfortunate man in Indiana, who got $2.3 million after his penis and testicle were removed without his consent.
Should a doctor be allowed to exercise his judgment when there's cancer in your member? Would a few million dollars help you forget about your family jewels? Tell us what you think.

If there is cancer, the patient has to know. Some cancer victims choose not to treat the cancer and allow their fate to be sealed. Regardless, a doctor shouldn't make such a hasty move before telling his patient.

Absolutely under no circumstances should A doctor take it upon himself or herself to remove the man's penis without A signed concent form. Some men value the penis above their life. Even A mother or a wife shouldn't make that decision for him.It would only be A matter of a few days time before the doctor would do it. Perhaps this man would rather die with everthing intact. If we were to give the doctors full rein to do as they please when they have us under theres no telling what they would do. Right?
I would sue that doctor for everything he owns. Most judges would find for the patient unless of course if it was a woman judge perhaps and even there, I believe she would find for the man.

Heck leave it to there mothers or wifes' call to cut it off. BIG MISTAKE look at the number of men who are "cut" needlessly in the fist days of life, for no other reason than the parents lack of knowledge about how usefull the foreskin really is. And you want some guys wife to call that shot. Personally it it were me I'd want the Dr. to stop, pack the surgical area, wait till the effects of the "sleep juice" have worn off and consult me on what I want to do.

Hi Bob!
Im not trying to say your not right and I am not trying to be rude but, the foreskin is not all good because it can trap germs in the penis and cause it to get infected. I didn't know if you knew not saying its a bad thing cause it doesn't matter to me its just more of a risk of infection.
