Thinkgeek has an awesome new pair of night-vision goggles for those of us who didn't make the SWAT team, but still want the equipment. For $90, the EyeClops goggles let you see up to 50 feet in complete darkness. They use IR technology, are adjustable for most people over the age of 8 years old and have a flip-up eye piece for when the unit is turned off. In other words, they're pretty much the night vision equivalent of Dwayne Wayne's glasses.
Here's what we'll be doing with them:
-- Taking out the trash -- in complete darkness.
-- Refraining from drunkenly fumbling to get our key in the front door when we forget to turn on the outside light.
-- Re-enacting the climactic scene from "Silence of the Lambs."
