The great thing about the Internet is that you don't have to buy a guide book to get a treasure trove of travel knowledge. Tripcart, a new trip planner Web site, lets you organize your trip ad nauseum and piggyback on user-submitted Gmaps guides. Our friends at Thrillist showed us the way with Tripcart, so we came up with a few more trips you might want to consider trying out.
-- Historical New York. Trace the path George Washington and the continental army used when they escaped from British troops to fight another day.
-- California Dreaming. Tour the sites of the West Coast's most famous cults. It's fun for the whole family.
-- Microbrew America. With hop prices and the economy going nuts, who knows how long microbreweries will last?
