It's been an incredible two weeks in the battle between mother nature and her ultimate petulant child, mankind.
First, Reuters did a profile of the Monkey Man, a man in Northern India who got paid to dress up like a primate in order to frighten away vicious monkeys that had taken over a train station.
Then there was Florida's Greg LeNoir, who saw his rat terrier Jack get sucked under the water by a shark, causing him to dive into the water and punch the shark so hard in the back it released the dog. He described it as "like punching concrete."
Finally, Canadian Jim West was hiking when he was attacked by an enraged black bear. Knowing that he was on the verge of death, Jim picked up a log and bashed the bear's head in repeatedly until it died.
Who do you think would win in a fight? Our analysis, after the jump.
Monkey Man
Strengths: Whereas the Shark Puncher and Bear Killer reacted out of instinct, this man has a skill. He choose to imitate and fight off monkeys and he does it almost frighteningly well.
Weaknesses: Hey, monkeys can rip your testicles off, but they're nothing compared to a shark or a bear.
Shark Puncher
Strengths: He punched a shark so hard it let go of his dog. Bam!
Weaknesses: While it's extremely brave to dive INTO the water AFTER you see a vicious, hungry shark, we're going to go ahead and say recklessness might be a weakness for this guy.
Bear Killer
Strengths: He killed a bear. Not only did he kill a bear and then walk a mile with a giant head wound, he seems to be almost completely untraumatized by the experience to the point that he re-enacts it for reporters.
Weaknesses: He's probably too busy bedding virgins and receiving the key to the city to concentrate on another fight.
